Sanitation Technician (Biotech)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Report to assigned workstation; ensure all necessary tools, equipment, supplies and materials are available in staging areas.Disassemble and clean production equipment, conveyors, and other machinery and remove guards as required prior to general operations start up.Clean production facility, including floors and trash removal in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.Handle sanitation chemicals in compliance with Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) requirements.Make suggestions regarding improved techniques for the control of plant cleanliness.May perform other sanitation duties as required.
Additional Responsibilities
May perform additional responsibilities directed from management.Promote and follow Rizo Lopez policies and procedures.Recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions.Ability to work with multi-functional teams.Ability to set priorities and operate within deadlines with minimal supervision.Knowledge of basic math skills.Ability to read, understand and follow SSOPs and other written procedures

Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
Work Schedule
The typical work schedule is 8.00 hours per day 5 days per week; exact schedules and shifts are assigned by management. It is the attendance standard of the employer that employee be present and on time each shift they are scheduled to work. Full or partial absence during any scheduled shift, arriving late, or leaving early, for whatever reason, may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination or employment. Time off may be approved if allowed by applicable policies covering illness, injury, or other personal emergency.

Work Environment & Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and hazardous chemicals. Employee should read the warning labels for information and instructions. Rizo Lopez maintains Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) as required by law on hazardous products. SDSs are kept at the office for review by employees. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
