Senior Manager, Generative AI Community of Practice (Finance)

Job Description:

Are you ready to lead the charge in shaping the future of AI talent at Mars? As the Senior Manager, Generative AI Community of Practice, you will spearhead the development of a vibrant internal community focused on Generative AI, reporting directly to the Director/Head of Global AI Strategy. This role sits under Mars Corporate, catering to all our beloved business segments, including Mars Snacking, Mars Petcare, and more. Your mission is to transform curiosity into tangible business value by designing and executing innovative programs that enhance Generative AI capabilities across the organization. You will partner closely with senior leaders across our business segments and corporate offices, ensuring alignment and fostering a culture of collaboration.

In this pivotal role, you will expand the reach and capabilities of our already active Enterprise AI Center of Excellence (COE), which you will help to enhance further. You will set the standard for AI governance and foster strategic partnerships within the AI ecosystem. You will connect Mars with leading external partners, including universities and technology companies, to co-create pilot initiatives and ensure that every associate has access to top-tier learning resources. By cultivating an inclusive Generative AI community through forums, hackathons, and workshops, you will empower our teams to thrive in the rapidly evolving landscape of AI. What are we looking for?

  • Experience: 5-7 years in product or program management, management/IT consulting, talent development, or community enablement, ideally in AI, data, or technology domains.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts and hands-on familiarity with Gen AI platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, Azure OpenAI).
  • Partnership Skills: Proven ability to establish and manage external partnerships that drive innovation.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, comfortable engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational, prioritization, and project management skills; adept at juggling multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Training Experience: Experience designing and delivering training or learning programs for adult professionals.
What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Capability Building: Design and execute product-style roadmaps to grow AI skills enterprise-wide, prioritizing features by user impact.
  • Thought Leadership: Collaborate with business and digital leaders to define the vision and adoption metrics for Gen AI enablement "products" and evangelize insights company-wide.
  • Recruitment Assistance: Partner with Talent Acquisition to define AI talent profiles and assist in onboarding new hires into the Gen AI community.
  • Partnerships: Establish relationships with universities, research institutions, and technology companies to co-create pilot "feature releases."
  • Community Engagement: Cultivate an inclusive Generative AI community that encourages knowledge sharing and collaboration through forums, hackathons, and demo days.
  • Training Programs: Develop and deliver workshops and seminars to upskill associates on AI tools and responsible use practices.
  • Best Practices: Champion the adoption of AI standards and governance guidelines across all functions.
  • Resource Development: Create and maintain a centralized repository of AI documentation and learning materials.
  • Performance Tracking: Define KPIs, measure program performance, and adjust initiatives through data-driven sprints.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with segment digital teams to facilitate Gen AI talent integration and support priority use cases.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.The total compensation package for this position mayalso include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offeredand the employee's work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
