Personal Activity Attendant (part-time) (Healthcare)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and dependable Activity Attendant to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with experience in Alzheimer's and Dementia care who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of seniors. You will plan and facilitate daily activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate group and one-on-one activities tailored to residents with memory loss
- Encourage resident participation and engagement with a person-centered approach
- Assist in planning monthly activity calendars and special events
- Support residents during outings, sensory stimulation programs, and music or art therapy
- Document resident participation and progress
- Collaborate with nursing, dietary, and other departments to promote whole-person wellness
- Assist with the Adult Day Program
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive environment at all times
- Other duties as assigned by the Life Enrichment Director
Qualifications:
- A year of geriatric experience is preferred
- Experience working with individuals living with dementia and Alzheimer's preferred
- Previous activity programming experience in a senior living or healthcare setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience, empathy, and creativity are a must
- Ability to work every other weekend, and holidays as scheduled
