The BHUCS Medical Secretary/Receptionist performs a wide variety of team-based, patient-centered operational, reception and clerical activities that: a) support the delivery of safe care to patients; b) provide operational and business support to staff, and; c) is expected to function as a strong central presence and resource in support of BHUCS operations for the duration of each shift. The BHUCS Medical Secretary/Receptionist is well trained in and practices excellent customer service at all times while on duty to greet, receive and serve patients and all others, including those who walk or call in to the service. The BHUCS Medical Secretary/Receptionist reports to the BHUCS Clinical Administrative Director.This position is considered "essential" and is part of a team that provides this service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
EDUCATION:High School Diploma or G.E.D.
EXPERIENCE: At least one year in a medical and/or community mental health office or hospital (unit secretary) setting.
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Demonstrated personal computer skills in a Windows environment required. Medical Terminology preferred. Bilingual skills (demographic level) preferred.
