Midwife APRN - Instructor I (Finance)



We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, or Physician's Assistant to join our Midwifery and Advanced Practice division. This position will be responsible for managing and treating patients in the outpatient setting, offering a combination of obstetric and gynecological care to our patients. The APP will act in accordance with Florida Statutes and will provide are according to established standards and practices. In collaboration with USF OBGYN Faculty, the APRN will evaluate, manage, and treat patients. This position is intended to be 5 days per week and seeing patients across the multiple USF Health ambulatory locations. The APP's role encompasses evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients, as well as providing continuity of care through various stages of a woman's life. QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM:

This position requires graduation from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 464 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64.

Certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board and maintenance of certification
Licensure by the State of Florida as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in the nurse-midwifery category as outlined in Florida Statute 464, the Nurse Practice Act, Florida Administrative Code, and Chapter 64B9 rules of the Board of Nursing. Board eligible in.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's/Doctorial degree in nursing preferred.

New graduates will be considered for employment after certification and licensure is completed. Candidates with experience are preferred, especially experience in full scope practice and tertiary level of care. A broad range of experience with outpatient women's health, family planning, prenatal and postpartum care along with inpatient prenatal, intrapartum and postpartum care is preferred.Working at USF

Provide pre- and post-procedure education, assessment, and care.
Perform comprehensive History and Physical Examinations, manage medical problems, initiate,
monitor, and alter therapies, and prescribe therapeutic medication.
Regularly confer with faculty physicians regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and alert them to
abnormal findings.
Manage prenatal and postpartum care for obstetric patients.
Provide comprehensive gynecologic and reproductive health care, including contraceptive
management and post-menopausal care.
Perform procedures such as insertion of contraceptive devices.

Teaching - 1%

Participate in the teaching of medical and PA students, as well as medical residents and other
health professionals.
Engage in research, scholarly activities, and service.
Participate in clinical and educational objectives required for licensure, certification, and
credentialing.

Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher-level administrator of a State university.
Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities.
Responsible for academic advising and related activities.
May represent the university, college/school, or department.
