Maintenance | Electrical Specialist Level 2 - 1st Shift (Sales)



Job Description

Perform all industrial electrical repairs and installations following all code and safety requirements.

Shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm plus overtime as scheduled

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.  Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Setup, maintain and repair production equipment and industrial support systems.
  • Layout and install electrical wiring per N.E.C and local codes.
  • Maintain specific quality standards.
  • Assist in training others as needed.
  • Must know how to install, wire, and troubleshoot motor controls, and machine controls.
  • Must be able to research and learn new programming software as it is needed.
  • Must to be able to not only troubleshoot PLC programs, but also write programs as well using RS Logix 500, RS Logix 5000, connected components workbench, and Direct Soft software.
  • Must know how to setup proper communication from laptop to the Allen Bradley processor using RS Linx.
  • Must be able to program Panel Views using Panel Builder.
  • Must know how to program HMI's using RS View and Factory Talk View.
  • Must know how to use GDC software for Lenze Drives.
  • Must be knowledgeable of Allen Bradley Ultra Ware software for Servo Controllers.
  • Must know how to program and troubleshoot various frequency drives such as various Allen Bradley power flex drives, T.B. Woods VFD's, and inverter drives, as well as Servo Controllers, and AC/DC converters.
  • Must have computer knowledge to be able to navigate using Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 10, be familiar in MS DOS, also be familiar with Team Viewer.
  • Needs to be experienced with Profi Bus and Can Bus systems.
  • Needs to be experienced with Device Net.
  • Must have to learn how to navigate through our server to get to our equipment files and prints.
  • Understand and know how to troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic valves and systems.
  • Must maintain a high rate of productivity.
  • All work should be neat and presented in a professional manner.

Requirements: 

  • 4 to 6 years of experience
  • 2 year degree
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Lockout Certification
  • Passing score on Electrical Evaluation Test
