A Day in the Life
The Project Management Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting program managers by creating and owning program change documents through the change control process. This position requires a proactive approach to managing operating mechanisms and ensuring the timely execution of daily tasks associated with multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have the capacity to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

This role is onsite (hybrid, 3 days per week) in Northridge, CA

resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team

anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Change Management: Develop, maintain, and own program change documents. Facilitate the change control process to ensure all changes are documented, approved, and implemented effectively.
  • Project Coordination: Support program managers in the execution of multiple projects by managing timelines, deliverables, and resources. Ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Operational Excellence: Establish and maintain operating mechanisms to ensure smooth project execution. Identify and resolve issues that may impact project timelines or deliverables.
  • Task Management: Organize and prioritize daily tasks to ensure efficient workflow and execution. Provide regular updates on project status and progress to stakeholders.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between program managers, project teams, and stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration to achieve project objectives.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including change logs, project plans, and status reports.

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience
  • OR, advance degree in Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in project management or a similar role in regulated industry
  • Strong understanding of change control processes and documentation
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus
  • Experience in a similar industry or sector

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$112,000.00 - $168,000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance , Health Savings Account , Healthcare Flexible Spending Account , Life insurance, Long-term disability leave , Dependent daycare spending account , Tuition assistance/reimbursement , and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
