Overview
Location: Altair, TX
The position of Maintenance Mechanic will be instrumental in the repair and maintenance of all stationary equipment. Including conveyors, hoppers, screens, crushers, screws, hydraulics, log washers, pumps, etc. All while maintaining a safety first attitude. Adhere with all company standards, policies and procedures, as well as compliance with all federal and state regulations, including OSHA, TCEQ etc.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Work in all weather conditions within reason with safety of self and team in mind.
- Work overtime, weekends, holidays and be flexible with scheduled hours.
- Will troubleshoot, perform repairs, rebuilds and maintenance of all equipment.
- Will identify the root cause in failures and report to supervisor.
- Dismantle and reassembles equipment, using hoist, fork lifts, cranes and hand tools.
- Examines parts for damage and excessive wear and report issues to supervisor.
- Replaces defective parts effectively, efficiently and safely.
- Weld broken/worn parts and structural members.
- Tests equipment when done with work to ensure operating correctly.
- Servicing equipment as necessary.
- Inventory and maintain assigned truck and tools.
- Other duties as assigned.
Ability, Skills & Knowledge
- Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Minimum two years of related experience and/or a combination of both. Thorough knowledge of construction/mining, cutting /welding and other related mining equipment.
- Computer Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office products and some ability to adapt to other computer software.
