DESCRIPTION

Michael Baker International is seeking a Finance Transformation Analyst (Remote) to support our Finance team in executing key initiatives related to business integrations, mergers, and financial process improvements. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to corporate finance strategy and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic, project-driven environment.

  • Review and analyze contract documents and project agreements to identify key financial terms and obligations.
  • Collaborate with project managers and finance leads to validate cost-to-complete estimates and ensure alignment with integration goals.
  • Assist in the coordination of financial data during mergers and acquisitions, including data validation and reconciliation.
  • Support the documentation and tracking of integration milestones, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in meetings and working sessions related to finance transformation projects.
  • Provide general administrative and analytical support to the Finance Transformation team.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in corporate finance, business transformation, or mergers and acquisitions.

COMPENSATION

The approximate compensation for this position is $30 per hour. This compensation is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
