What you will do

Our team supports PGIM Investment Accounting Systems through the software development life cycle, focusing on transformation, automation, and improved data/workflow. We work closely with internal contacts to develop innovative solutions and incorporate new technologies. This role bridges IT development teams and business units, enhancing systems and supporting investment management units. Responsibilities include gathering client requirements and communicating them to systems personnel and Operations. You'll contribute to major projects with technical writing and business analysis, and occasionally cover job streams during overnight shifts and holidays. While programming experience is helpful, the role emphasizes understanding business functions and technology, with knowledge of systems design, testing tools, and system support being beneficial.

What you can expect

  • Develop strategic and tactical solutions for complex business challenges promptly.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Review user and Operations requests, conduct data-gathering interviews, and propose innovative solutions.
  • Write clear business specifications, redesign applications/processes, create mockups, and analyze user data.
  • Anticipate potential project roadblocks and devise solutions or contingency plans.
  • Collaborate with clients and developers throughout the systems development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Design and execute test plans to ensure system functionality aligns with business requirements.
  • Document software bugs for PAM and other systems, coordinating resolutions for domestic and international clients.
  • Design and implement tests for system changes, including developing test case matrices and executing tests.
  • Prepare communications and presentations on system enhancements or alternatives.
  • Lead large cross-functional projects supporting company initiatives.
  • Mentor junior staff, guiding them on best practices for problem resolution.
  • Take ownership of production issues, analyzing and collaborating with relevant areas for resolution.
  • Utilize technologies such as Jira, Excel, SQL, Visio, Python, Selenium, Oracle, SQL Server, PowerBI/Tableau, Power Platform, Bit Bucket, and Xceptor.

What will set you apart

  • Accredited bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Preferred majors include Management Information Systems, Business Analytics and Information Technology, Business, Accounting, Computer Science, Finance, Economics.
  • Experience with SQL and related tools is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Life-Cycle and Agile methodology is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in business analysis, requirements gathering, software testing, and proficiency tools.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, along with PC proficiency (MS Office suite, SQL, data processing, automated testing tools, client-server applications, data visualization, workflow, robotics).
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Dataverse, and Connectors is essential.
  • Experience with Cognos, Xceptor, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $120,000 to $145,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
