Paralegal, HSE/Litigation (Finance)

Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs. This position is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be named Solstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs. This is expected to occur in late 2025 or early 2026.

Provide paralegal and administrative support to Honeywell's Advanced Materials Strategic Business Group and the corporate Centers of Excellence for Litigation and Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE).

You will report directly to an attorney in our Global Litigation group, and you will work out of our Morris Plains, NJ location on a Hybrid work schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBLITES

  • Assist in the preparation and management of legal documents related to litigation, HSE, and remediation.
  • Work with related functional teams including investigations, sustainability, data privacy and HR to support the law department and the Company's overall compliance and risk mitigation goals.
  • Conduct research, gather documents, and collate relevant information to support responses and case strategies.
  • Coordinate with external counsel and internal stakeholders to ensure timely responses to legal inquiries, as well as budgeting, billing and vendor management.
  • Assist in compiling and rolling out training materials, templates and other support to the businesses and functions we support.

  • 5+ years of experience in a paralegal role, particularly in HSE and/or litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and regulations related to litigation and health, safety, and environmental law.
  • Experience and facility with discovery process and litigation steps, including support of multiple attorneys with active litigation dockets.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
  • Experience with document management systems, Microsoft office suite and electronic filing.

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field
  • Paralegal certification or equivalent qualification
  • Prior in-house corporate experience, preferably at a large global organization.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Familiarity with compliance regulations and risk management strategies.
