About the Role

Essity North America Health and Medical Solutions is currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Lead who will oversee the maintenance and operation of buildings, structures, and central equipment while planning and coordinating repairs and maintenance as necessary.

What You Will Do

  • Supervise and coordinate facility and equipment maintenance activities across the manufacturing site, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and structural systems.
  • Uncompromised commitment to Essity's I Care journey which ensures a safe, healthy and sustainable work environment. 
  • Develops Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) concepts for the utilities and conducts maintenance.
  • Lead troubleshooting and repair of building infrastructure and non-production equipment.
  • Manage an operating budget and participate in the CAPEX process including providing accurate estimates and advising stakeholders across the company.
  • Coordinate with production and engineering teams to support manufacturing schedules and respond to urgent repair needs.
  • Oversee external contractors performing facility-related work to ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Enforce safety policies and ensure team compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and EPA regulations.
  • Monitor facility energy usage and recommend cost-saving measures or equipment upgrades.
  • Maintain documentation related to inspections, permits, audits, and facility upgrades.

Who You Are

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's or technical degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment with 2+ years in a supervisory or lead technician role.
  • Project management and budgeting experience required.
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial systems to include HVAC, electrical panels, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulics, PLCs, and piping.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varying environments (indoor/outdoor, heights, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with outside parties.
  • Certifications such as OSHA 30, EPA 608, or journeyman license in a trade are a plus.
