Technical System & IT Expansion Infrastructure Architect (Information Technology)
JOB SUMMARY
Perform as a technical leader across disciplines and or technologies and assist management in meeting our strategic initiatives. They will drive the proficiency within the team, assure best practices are followed and support the delivery of quality solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ability to work in a technical lead role independently.
· Review and evaluate new technologies that may be beneficial to current and upcoming project work.
· Design site and regional infrastructure solutions based on customer requirement and Technology Services processes.
· Participate in the technical design review process to ensure high quality technical designs.
· Align Infrastructure solutions within the overall Technology Services strategy.
· Ability to design solutions on an Enterprise level with medium level of guidance.
· Assures best practices are defined and followed.
· Acts as an escalation for technical issues and support.
· Identifies and communicates risks to the business.
· Performs as a mentor to regional and site resources on process and techniques to assure proficiency within the team.
· Performs research and analysis on new technology and business practices with the team.
· Performs and or supports other duties and responsibilities of team members as required.
· Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
· Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
· Proven proficiency across multiple disciplines and or technologies.
· Fluent in business processes and best practices.
· Advanced Cisco networking skills.
· Advanced Windows 2008 R2 and Ubuntu Linux OS skills.
· Advanced design and architecture experience.
· Knowledge of cloud based technologies.
· Knowledge of HP server and storage based technologies.
· Experience in automated manufacturing environments, preferred.
· Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of
the organization.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Overview:
We are hiring an Infrastructure Solutions Engineer to support M&A-related IT integration and infrastructure scale-out projects across our organization. This position focuses on designing and executing technical onboarding for new sites, aligning local infrastructure with global standards, and ensuring readiness for future growth. The role reports to the Infrastructure & Expansion Lead and is part of a strategic team enabling business continuity through technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in M&A due diligence, site assessments, and infrastructure readiness planning.
Design and implement site-specific infrastructure solutions aligned with enterprise architecture.
Support integration of domains, networks, and collaboration platforms across acquired or transitioning entities.
Assist in technical project planning, documentation, and stakeholder alignment.
Serve as a technical escalation point for regional and site-level issues.
Collaborate with IT, business, and project teams to ensure smooth technical onboarding of new locations.
Contribute to the evaluation and rollout of new technologies such as Windows 365 and hybrid cloud platforms.
Promote and support knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team.
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or related technical roles.
Strong hands-on experience in enterprise infrastructure environments (AD, GPOs, Cisco, Windows/Linux systems).
Proven ability to deliver in complex, multi-site IT projects, preferably with M&A involvement.
Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical solutions into business impact.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional project teams.
