Job Description Summary:

Navitaire, a leading provider of technology solutions to the airline and travel industry, is seeking a Manager of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to lead a team responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our mission-critical platforms.

In this role, you will drive operational excellence in the assigned product, influence reliability strategies, integral in production incident response, and helping to improve operational metrics. You will collaborate across development, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure our services meet the highest standards of availability and customer trust. This is a hybrid position and would require you to be in the local office of Salt Lake City, Minneapolis or Dallas 2-3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assigned to a Navitaire product to improve stability and performance.

• Drive production incident response and lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with Operations and Development teams to drive service reliability, availability, and scalability.

• Define and track Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Objectives (SLOs), and Error Budgets in partnership with engineering and product leads.

• Provide input on process improvements to Change, Release, and Incident Management.

• Champion observability, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices to reduce manual intervention and improve system health.

• Influence architecture and deployment standards to align with SRE principles.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.

• 5+ years of software engineering or operations experience

• Hands-on experience in one or more scripting/programming languages (Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, etc.).

• Experience working with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Proficiency in observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk).

• Knowledge of deployment automation and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Helm, Ansible, ArgoCD.

• Strong understanding of modern software development practices, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Good communication, collaboration, and task management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a SRE or DevOps practice.

• Familiarity with both Windows and Linux environments.

• Experience contributing on a distributed team.

• Prior experience in the airline or travel industry is a plus.
