Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced As-Built Manager to lead the development and management of as-built documentation for our construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring that final project records accurately reflect the constructed infrastructure, supporting compliance, operations, and future maintenance. The As-Built Manager will collaborate with project teams, design engineers, and clients to deliver high-quality documentation that meets industry standards and project specifications. The following responsibilities are not all-encompassing, as specific work tasks vary.
Essential Responsibilities:
As-Built Documentation Management
- Develop and implement standards, procedures, and workflows for creating and maintaining as-built records.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of as-built drawings, models, and related documentation.
- Oversee the collection, validation, and integration of field changes, RFIs, and redline drawings into the as-built documentation.
Collaboration and Coordination
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to gather accurate as-built data during construction.
- Coordinate with design teams to reconcile changes between design intent and actual construction.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies regarding as-built documentation.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Conduct quality control reviews of as-built documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contract requirements.
- Verify that as-built records meet industry standards, including BIM and CAD specifications, and any applicable regulations.
- Prepare and submit final as-built documentation packages to clients and stakeholders as required.
Technology and Tools
- Manage and utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and other BIM/CAD platforms for as-built documentation.
- Implement and promote digital tools for real-time data capture and integration into as-built workflows.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and methods to improve as-built processes and deliverables.
Training and Support
- Train and mentor team members on as-built documentation processes and tools.
- Provide ongoing support to project teams to ensure as-built requirements are understood and met throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in as-built documentation or a similar role within construction projects.
- Strong industry experience specific to construction, or equivalent knowledge.
- Experience with software tools, or equivalents, such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, BIM 360, and willingness to learn new and project-specific programs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a professional and polished communication style to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, clients, and government agencies.
