Representative, Inside Sales (Sales)



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow customer accounts through proactive outreach, regular communication, and excellent service
  • Identify opportunities for new business and expanded sales within the assigned territory
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Credit, Operations, Purchasing, etc.) to ensure smooth execution of orders and high customer satisfaction
  • Conduct customer meetings and facility tours; maintain a regular cadence of check-ins
  • Educate customers on the full range of Samuel products and services, highlighting value-added solutions
  • Monitor aged inventory and support strategies to optimize turnover
  • Track and report on sales activity, including monthly forecasts and territory performance updates
  • Support Business Development on leads and participate in strategic sales planning
  • Serve as backup for Inside Sales teammates as needed
  • Travel as required within the assigned geography (WI/MN region)
  • Occasional travel to customer and/or production sites, with adherence to safety protocols

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of sales experience, ideally in industrial or metals sectors
  • Previous buying or procurement experience is a plus
  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships and deliver results
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel regionally
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
