NC Production Manager (Manufacturing)



The Production Manager Charlotte is responsible for maintaining and improving all production functions performed in the Charlotte, NC facility. These functions include inventory, assembly, painting, packaging, shipping, and production scheduling. The Production Manager is responsible for proper training methods being utilized in all work areas. He or she must ensure company policies, especially safety policies and practices, are being followed. They will work closely with customer experience and operations personnel from Waunakee plant to make sure we meet company objectives and customer requirements. The production Manager will perform work in the areas he or she supervises.
Drive the operation to meet or exceed all KPIs (key performance indicators) related to safety, quality, cost, productivity, people, and delivery for Charlotte and the company as a whole. Be a Subject Matter Expert for Production; must be able to work in the shop when required. Perform production activities in assembly, inventory, painting or packaging areas. Provide feedback and input on strategic planning. Work closely with Waunakee Supply Chain Management and Industrial Engineering to successfully support and complete projects. Develop annual budgets for expense and capital. Ensure adherence to budgets. Manage all shop floor activities and people. Coordinates production activities for the production employees and ensure proper scheduling of orders through the shop to maximize customer satisfaction. Must be a strong people manager; responsible for hiring employees, developing and mentoring them, and ensuring standard processes are followed. Develop, maintain, and improve the reporting in Charlotte using the systems available. Train employees using Job Instructions and evaluate production employees for performance. Maintain clean and safe work environment consistent with company standards. Problem solving related to processes, equipment, people, and facilities. Work collectively and coordinate activities with parent company functions in Waunakee like Purchasing, Accounting, IT, Human Resources, Production, and Sales. Oversee buildings and grounds. Coordinates maintenance with landlord. Consult with Waunakee Maintenance as well. Coordinate with Industrial Engineering and Maintenance to support the implementation of new equipment, new processes, new products. Work with Customer Experience and production personnel to meet all company objectives. Perform other duties as instructed by manager.Be an active participant in the companys suggestion, quality, efficiency and cost-saving programs.
