Finance Manager - Growth NA (Finance)

Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a Finance Manager - Growth US Environment to support our Places GBA. The position will be based in any Arcadis office in United States. Being a business partner on a broad scale of topics ranging from pursuit review & support, revenue planning, Finance Transformation, M&A support, to Digital, IT, Technology and Sustainability reporting.

The candidate will work in collaboration with our high performing Growth & Finance teams, with a focus on ensuring healthy financial growth in Sales for our US Environment business.

The North America Finance Manager - Growth reports directly to the GBA Finance Director (FD) - Growth with a dotted line report to Business Area Controller and North America Sales Director.

Role accountabilities:
The main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Bid & Pursuits; support upfront assessment of major bids and help to properly align our new harmonized pursuit process and MEPC+. Do so in strong cooperation with GBA Sales & Pursuit Directors and Country BA Finance, making sure relevant functional experts are involved and supportive.
  • Revenue Security, Backlog and Pipeline management; supports robust understanding and assurance on the accuracy of reported contracted and prospective project revenues, including by enforcing compliance with recognition policies.
  • M&A support, eg. new acquisitions, divestments and transfer from GBDP back to GBAs.
  • Support the business on a broad set of topics like Digital, IT, Technology, Sustainability both in terms of content and reporting quality.
  • Support the business and FP&A lead with the preparation of capex / investment proposals. Take an active role in investment appraisal, evaluation and monitoring in the ordinary course of the business.
  • Support in Global Key & Emerging Client planning on Plan, Forecast and Actuals for North America Places hosted clients
  • Assist in Multiplier training of Operations and Commercial staff.

Interact with BA finance teams:
  • Cooperates with Growth Organization team and controllers to support and oversee the quality of pipeline, order-intake and backlog reporting.
  • Ensure alignment with GSSC teams on non-financial reporting.
  • Ensure alignment with the Commercial and Risk Managers & GBA Risk Manager on submission and quality of major pursuits.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • The candidate should have a relevant bachelor or master's degree and at least 5+ years of experience as a finance manager with broad experience in financial management, modelling, data analytics and reporting.
  • In addition the candidate must have strong Growth experience in bids, pricing and contracting models with strong commercial skills.
  • Further the candidate should have proven experience as strong business partner with excellent understanding of client needs combined with a thorough knowledge of project business and driving finance transformation and/or operational excellence processes (including leading, motivating and developing remote finance teams

We offer nine paid holidays and 20days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $94,944 - $136,086. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
