WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Sr. Manager, you will play a critical role in driving financial insights, supporting strategic decision making (budgeting, forecasting & modeling) and enhancing operational efficiency.  A strong background in financial analysis, data mining and financial modeling is essential for success in the role. 

You will frequently interact with senior executives, including the CFO. You will produce important data-driven deliverables in support of commercial reviews, senior leadership meetings, and other critical Finance materials.

WHERE YOU'LL WORK

This position will work a hybrid schedule from our Burlington, MA office location.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME

  • Lead financial planning processes – drive annual budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes in partnership with business leaders.
  • Financial Analysis & reporting – analyze financial results, key trends, variances and KPI; deliver insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Business partnering – collaborate with cross-functional leaders to support strategic decision-making and improve financial performance.
  • Management reporting – prepare reports on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis that enable decision making by the business; highlight important takeaways in concise executive summaries.
  • Scenario modeling & Forecasting - model budget, forecast and long-range plans, summarizing variances, risks and opportunities; use business judgment to determine when to drill into underlying detail.
  • Prepare analysis to ensure business results are optimized (ie: Headcount, Operating Expenses, Net Retention rates, etc); Work with multiple data inputs to translate data into information that the business can use for decision making.
  • Use business balanced scorecard metrics, billings (revenue) drivers and other key metrics to model and interpret scenarios for the business.
  • Partner with Segment accounting team on judgment-based accounting and ensuring appropriate business controls are in place.
  • Other ad-hoc modeling to enable business decision-making.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, business analytics, or other related fields
  • 7+ years of experience in FP&A (preferably both corporate and segment FP&A) Additional finance experience demonstrating breadth of experience is preferred
  • Ability to perform a variety of financial activities including planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to perform accurate detailed work while also staying focused on interpreting information; Good understanding of financial statements and key performance metrics
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills along with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent tight deadlines while maintaining effective executive presence
  • Knowledge of marketing function and sales commissions a plus
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications essential; database and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI or Tableau) a plus
  • Experience in technology, software and/or digital learning a plus
