Commercial Roofing Service Technician (Construction)



Position Summary
The Commercial Roofing Service Technician is responsible for performing inspections, maintenance, repairs, and small installations on commercial roofing systems. This role ensures that work is completed to company quality standards, safety guidelines, and within project timelines while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
? Perform roof inspections to identify leaks, damages, and potential issues on various commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified Bitumen, Metal, etc.).

? Diagnose and repair roof leaks using proper tools, materials, and industry best practices.

? Conduct preventative maintenance, including cleaning drains, sealing penetrations, and replacing flashing.

? Document work performed, including before-and-after photos, materials used, and repair notes.

? Communicate with service coordinators, project managers, and customers regarding job status and recommendations.

? Safely operate tools, equipment, and vehicles in compliance with OSHA standards and company safety protocols.

? Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service vehicle.

? Assist with emergency service calls as needed, including after-hours and weekends.

? Train and mentor helper/apprentice technicians when applicable.

Qualifications
? Experience: Minimum 2 years of commercial roofing experience (service/repair preferred).

? Skills: Strong leak detection, troubleshooting, and repair skills; ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

? Knowledge: Familiarity with multiple commercial roofing systems and materials.

? Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions and heights.

? Other: Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record; ability to pass background check and drug screening.
