Director, RDM (Architecture)



In this role, you will be…
Directing and leading accounts and designing and communicating new operational practices across the portfolio. Maintaining tenant relationships and driving new design criteria that meets the needs of our tenants, while upgrading the in-centre experience.

Ability to lead multiple projects, hold others accountable and mentor within the TC department are key responsibilities within the role. Also, but not limited to…

  • Initiate contact and meet with Retailers and their design teams to discuss URW's design criteria and clarify the retail delivery processes (new development shop openings & existing shop upgrades).
  • Share and discuss proposed designs with key stakeholders within URW and obtain required approvals.
  • Collaborate with Retailer's design team to achieve compliance with URW's design standards.
  • Review concept design & detail design drawings and ensure compliance to URW design criteria are met (in a timely manner).
  • Track design delivery and provide status reports to key stakeholders.
  • Audit process and procedures and results from time to time.
  • Occasionally review and update design criteria (guidelines) to reflect current trends within retail design.
  • Generate new design criteria as required.
  • Keep abreast of current retail & technology trends

We're looking for someone with…

  • Extensive experience in retail & restaurant design
  • Strong design & sketching skills as well as competency with Adobe and Bluebeam design packages – we will expect this to be demonstrable during the selection process.
  • To be a team player – maintaining close working relationships with all other employees of the business to assist in the facilitation of projects will be key
  • A fast and responsive attitude with the ability to hit strict deadlines

Compensation

Exempt

$135k-180K + Discretionary Annual Bonus
