Broker Relations Principal - Cigna Healthcare - Remote (Finance)



ROLE SUMMARY:

Reports to the Pharmacy Consultant Relations Development (CRD) Lead and supports ownership of the enterprise relationships for the pharmacy practice leaders within the national and regional consulting/brokerage firms. Supports execution of CRD's strategy to inform, train, incent and report progress to the firms and producers for aggressive growth targets of Cigna Pharmacy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under the direction of CRD, work closely with the Pharmacy Sales Account Management (SAM) team, marketing, and the enterprise PRD team to create and lead a growth and engagement strategy.
  • Manage relationships with a book of top consultant firms as the priority contact for partnerships, escalations, product and solutions and in support of sales and account management.
  • Support meetings to educate and train pharmacy specific personnel within the consulting and brokerage targeted firms.
  • Proactively push to all firms material and information (studies, data, abstracts, etc.) which presents Cigna Pharmacy in a positive light and/or highlights Cigna Pharmacy's key differentiators compared to the competition.
  • In an effort to confirm that Cigna Pharmacy is analyzed on a level playing field, meet with firms in order to inform them of new and/or existing tactics in the market relative to pricing, contractual language, product nuances, etc.
  • Participate in enterprise consultant meetings where needed to represent Cigna Pharmacy.
  • Gather and disseminate competitive intel internally to strengthen value messaging.
  • Participate in the market message creation by segment.
  • Support engagement with CPAC leadership and membership.
  • Work closely with the enterprise CRD to complement their strategies and align opportunities.
  • Document and house specific plans, strategies and performance against growth objectives.
  • Solicit feedback from the market in order to help the organization (Marketing/Product Development) build new products and programs.

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE A COMBINATION OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • 5+ years of Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree (Master's or PharmD) preferred
  • Business understanding of the PBM industry, insurance and healthcare systems required
  • Business understanding of PBM pricing and contracting required
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmacy experience within a consulting firm -or - working with consulting firms via sales and/or account management roles preferred
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
