Treasury Management Sales Support Lead (Education)



SUMMARY

Responsible for partnering with Business Banking Relationship Manager, Commercial Relationship Manager and/or Branch Managers in leading the Bank's sales and acquisition efforts in the promotion of Treasury Management depository services and financial solutions for businesses. Functions as subject matter expert and resource for all deposit and Treasury Management products and services. Collaborates with management and various functional areas of the Bank to develop, package, price, and market deposit and Treasury Management products and services. Responsible to represent Riverview in a professional manner in the community and to implement marketing strategies and solicitation programs to attract new customers as well as promote utilization of products and services to new and current customers. May supervise subordinate staff.

 

The salary for this role will be between $85,583 and $126,663. The specific salary offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to applicant's skills and prior relevant experience.  Hired candidate may be eligible for healthcare benefits, 401K plan, short term & long-term disability coverage, life insurance, vacation & sick time, educational assistance, and several holidays.  Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards

 

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Plan, schedule and conduct outside sales calls (often in collaboration with Business Banking Relationship Management, Commercial Relationship Manager and/or Branch Managers) to business clients and prospects on a regular basis, with a specific focus to penetrate businesses with untapped deposit and treasury management opportunities.
  •  Possess and maintain expert knowledge on all deposit, Treasury Management and Merchant Bank Card, services, and processes.
  • Inform and educate clients regarding all treasury management and deposit products and services and assist clients in selection of the most appropriate services for their needs.
  • Act as liaison between clients and appropriate Riverview service areas.
  • Provide quality customer service and problem resolution.
  • Responsible for supporting Treasury Management Sales Advisor and Merchant Services Sales Advisor.
  • Act as liaison among clients, Riverview, and Treasury Management product vendors.
  • Mentor and train new and current employees on Treasury Management products and services.
  • Contribute and provide feedback for the development of products and services to maintain competitive position in regional market.
  • Work within the scope of Riverview marketing objectives and initiatives to develop Riverview visibility and customer base through ongoing social interaction and community involvement.
  • Promote a favorable image of Riverview in all business activities within the community.

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • May be called upon to assist in company-wide programs, presentations, and training.
  • May be called upon to develop relationships with new and existing vendors
  • May be called upon to own the RFP process
  • Stay informed of new treasury management and deposit marketing programs and campaigns and lead sales and training efforts relating to these programs and campaigns.
  • Provide ongoing training in treasury management products and services to appropriate Riverview personnel.
  • Continuing education for personal and professional development.
  • Participate in and complete training objectives with passing scores.
  • Follow all Riverview policies and procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Daily contact with customers and prospective customers to develop and maintain successful business relations - creating and utilizing opportunities to promote business and personal relationships.
  • Frequent contact with Branch, Merchant Bankcard, Business and Professional Banking, Non-Profit Banking, Medical Banking, and Asset Management personnel to discuss customer and prospect relationships and provide and receive referrals.
  • Frequent contact with support departments to receive information.
  • Frequent contact with individuals or organizations coordinating involvement with community events.
  • Provide coordination and cooperation when interactive with internal and external customer

 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

May manage a total of 1 to 4 employees (or FTE) with treasury management sales and/or service responsibilities.  If applicable, carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Overall responsibility for the hiring, training, development, performance management, corrective action and/or termination of staff.

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university, and ten or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Significant professional designation, i.e., Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) may be substituted for Bachelor's Degree.

 SKILLS:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. 
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. 
  • Ability to apply and communicate using management and leadership skills effectively.
  • Basic knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office products and/or equivalent computer software applications.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to effectively communicate via phone/video, messaging, and email. The employee is required to use computer and office equipment such as a computer, printer, copier, as well as computer software such as Microsoft Office. You may also frequently be required to occupy a workstation for long periods of time.
